Pax Dei’s major Verse 3 update and wipe will get underway after lengthy downtime June 11

We’ve finally got a hard date for Pax Dei’s next big update: It’s coming on June 11th, right in the thick of all the other launches this month.

“Verse 3 is the most expansive and ambitious update Pax Dei has seen to date,” Mainframe Industries reminds players. As we’ve been covering, this update to the early access sandbox MMORPG completely revamps its crafting system; tackles its world, map, and biome design to encourage socialization; tweaks progression and weapons; and adjusts loot and experience with what the team is calling a “new RPG system” meant to grant characters more meaningful roles in play.

The servers will be offline for at least eight hours starting at around 4:30 a.m. EDT on the 11th, with some notable changes for the game – including a partial wipe.

“All those changes require that we wipe the existing world: we’ll remove your plots and their content will be stored in your Redeeming queue. While your character will retain their crafting skills, all other skills, their gear, and their name will be reset. Clans will also be deleted and you’ll need to recreate them. Note also that the number of shards opening after the deployment of the update will be reduced, as those will welcome more players overall.”

Pax Dei will then march on toward its full launch, expected later in 2025 – along with its post-layoff subscription.
