It’s still a bit interesting to consider that a game like Wizard101 has raids in it, but indeed it does; two of them in fact! And now it has a third with the Ghastly Conspiracy update, which introduces the family-friendly MMORPG’s first eight-player instance.

“Some things’ blood runs colder than any night could ever be,” KingsIsle says. “Some things are just that… ghastly. But what? And why? What could they do in shadows where Death even hesitates to tread? Figuring that out is a job for Dog Tracy… and the Shadoe… and about eight wizards.”

This new encounter takes players who are at level 170 to the noir-themed region known as the Heap, while the raid promises to test teams’ coordination and communication as they move through a series of challenges and fights for new titles and rewards.

In addition to the fresh raid fight, the patch has also added some changes to certain spells, more Beastmoon critters, a new recycling bin where players can recover their trashed items within a limited time frame, and some tweaks to Unicorn Way quests.
