EVE Online is arguably a sandbox that’s best experienced as part of a larger group of people, but if you’re not affiliated with one of the giga-corps that like to punch each other in the mouth and cause millions of ISK worth of destruction, you might feel as if you’re missing out – or you’re incredibly unsafe. Ideally the new Legion update available now will help you find your own group of people to be with a little easier thanks to one of its new features. Assuming they’re not garbage people, anyway.Play EVE Online for free
The feature we refer to is the ability for corps to post freelance jobs that players outside of the regular membership can take up, which in an ideal world will both improve corp goals and encourage gun-shy players to maybe join up. Corps can also show off a unified identity thanks to the introduction of a corporate palette feature, just to preen those feathers a bit more.
In addition to freelance jobs, the patch introduces two new powerful ships to the game in the form of the Babaroga and Sarathiel, several sovereign space adjustments, some visual spit shining, and a chunky list of balance adjustments. Patch notes for the update were posted already just in case you missed them, or you can just look at the highlight reel for the patch below.
source: official site, press release“The Legion expansion introduces new systems and tools that let capsuleers define their own role in New Eden. From player-created Freelance Jobs that connect individuals to the broader war machine, to powerful warships and nullsec upgrades that shift the balance of power, Legion offers new ways to lead, earn, and fight – regardless of experience or allegiance.
“To mark the launch of EVE Online: Legion, all capsuleers can claim 7 days of Omega for just 10 PLEX in the New Eden Store. Two new Legion-themed packs are also available on the EVE Store: one for rookies diving into Freelance Jobs and PvP, and another for veterans ready to command new warships and dominate nullsec.”
