It’s time to head into Un’Goro Crater in Hearthstone, or at least head into that region as much as one can through the medium of digital collectible card gaming, anyway. The point is that the Lost City of Un’Goro expansion has been confirmed, bringing with it 145 new cards with new and returning mechanics on Tuesday, July 8th.

The expansion brings back the quest spell card type, including brand-new legendary quest cards for every class in the game, as well as cards featuring the new kindred keyword that grants a bonus effect under certain conditions, new map cards that let players bring a card to their hand and get more options if they play that card in the same turn, and new story cards with a variety of effects.

The expansion also promises the return of several familiar NPCs and card mechanics from Hearthstone’s history scattered among the set. More card reveals are likely to come over the next few weeks, but an overview of the expansion awaits at this link and the video below.
