The Yamato. The Bismarck. The Vanguard. For those who follow military history, these names are iconic, and even if you don’t know them, you’ve probably seen at least a couple of them referenced in other media. In-game, these battleships pack an impressive-sounding punch: The Yamato fields three turrets’ worth of nine 460 mm guns and over 150 anti-aircraft guns, though it trades off this firepower with sluggish speed; the Bismarck brings eight 380 mm guns to bear that promise high accuracy, power, and reload speed; and the Vanguard has 15-inch guns, “decent” speed and armor, and an air reconnaissance radar.

These ships aren’t the only toys being added to War Thunder’s toolkit this month, as other vehicles like the South African Badger infantry fighting vehicle, Japan’s F-2A fighter jet, and the promise of “dozens of other interesting military vehicles for all nations” are on the way too. A release date for the Leviathans patch hasn’t been pinned down, but Gaijin Entertainment made sure to put together a sizzle reel; that can be watched below.
