It’s not every game that previews upcoming classes by dropping 15-second trailers that tease a new class with the inflection and apparent shooting style of either a jewelry store advertisement or a new fragrance by Calvin Klein, but Aion Classic has decided to go in its own bold direction. That is the chief takeaway from the trailer for the Luminess, which is just below and is, indeed, 15 seconds of context-free “girl glow and then says Luminess” tease.

Of course, hardcore Aion fans will remember the class from when it released to Korea last year as the Lumines, so it’s not a total shock. More details of how the class will work for the Classic edition of the game will be revealed when more details arrive on June 10th; until then, you’re free to ruminate on the Luminess’ apparent magical girl nature, opinions on what a male version should be called (we vote for Luminator or perhaps a Luminister), and Classic-tailored game mechanics. You could try trawling through the teaser itself for more information, but that may prove difficult. Still, there’s plenty of time to watch it on repeat before June 10th.
