You might think that with an update named Leviathans, War Thunder would forget about everything other than oceanic threats with this update. But you’d be wrong. This update certainly has not forgotten about helicopters, for example, with the addition of the RAH-66 Comanche and new Z-10 variants. It also hasn’t forgotten about other aircraft, as Japan’s F-2A has been added along with several Swiss aircraft. And ground vehicles are represented, too, with a giant raft of SAM vehicles to reach out and touch those aircraft in an explosive fashion.
Of course, the game does have aquatic updates as well, as it adds in legendary battleships including the Yamato, the Bismarck, and the USS Iowa. Meanwhile, Berlin and Kuban have both gotten multiple visual improvements that make the maps look better without changes to actual gameplay, and air engagements have a new map option in the form of the Falkland Islands. And that’s on top of other new improvements like letting airplanes dump fuel in combat, a new radar control screen, new kill cams when an enemy takes you out, and more. Read up on all the features, and check out screenshots and the trailer below.
