Dune Awakening Steam reviews shift from red to blue as servers open and stabilize

We are now roughly a couple of days removed from the not-really-launch-but-totally-launch of Dune: Awakening, with the survival MMO moving through its “advanced access” – aka its five-dollar term for paid-for headstart – so naturally that means it’s time to check the pulse of the game. Uptimer time let’s goooooooooo.

The very opening moments of the game’s release were initially very poor, sinking in to the “mostly negative” aggregate on Steam, but it looks as if some patching and the opening of new servers for EU and NA players have righted the ship, as Steam users now rank the game at “mostly positive” at the time of this writing.

And there are quite a few playing right now: SteamDB charts an initial all-time peak of over 93K with nearly as many playing during the last 24-hour peak and just over 71K in-game during Saturday morning. That means the numbers are likely to continue to rise up, as is the potential for more server problems, server openings, and ideally continually happy gamers.
