Early access sandbox Pax Dei has officially delivered its Verse 3 update this week as promised. Servers were offline most of yesterday for the update, but it should be smooth sailing now.

As readers will recall, Verse 3 – more colorfully known as Path of the Adventurer – is a major update for the MMO, meant to set the game up for its proper launch later this year. Mainframe Industries has overhauled the world (“resculpted” is the word the devs are using), with an eye toward bringing players together; revamped crafting; added skinning; rebalanced experience, especially in parties; overhauled the armor and weapon system kind of a lot; and polished up gobs of leftover issues.

Do note that Mainframe did wipe the game world, plots, clans, and character names. Players will find all their stuff in the Redeeming queue, and they’ll keep gear and skills too. “Each of these updates brings meaningful changes that will shape the way you experience Pax Dei moving forward,” the devs write.
