As promised, NC America has officially launched what it’s calling Aion 4.0 today. Specifically, it’s a celebration of Aion Classic’s fourth birthday since its North American launch in 2021 and the arrival of the Luminess class, which has been live in Korea since last year.

“With Aion’s 4.0 update, players will enjoy an opportunity to celebrate Aion Classic’s 4th Anniversary with free in-game rewards,” NCsoft says. “The update offers much more. Gamers will experience a level increase up to 65, two brand new dungeons, the Fortress of Determination and Labyrinth of Reunion, and a sprawling new outdoor zone. ‘Tiamaranta Mesa’, a new end-game battlefield spanning land and sky, gives players the chance to fight for and capture strongholds and floating islands. This area also includes three new raids: Arch Tatar, Brigade General Sunayaka and Dredgion.”

Luminess herself is an “Action Mage” with lots of instant-cast skills and a short-range magical sword.

“Luminess’ skills can inflict debuffs such as Aerial’s Hold, Silence, or Stun on enemies, depending on the order and combination in which they are used. Stacking the same skill amplifies its effects to the maximum. Additionally, by using the “Forte” skills, Luminess can enhance the unique skills of all party members, making her a versatile and appealing class capable of fulfilling both damage dealer and support roles.”

Patch notes are already live on the official site, as is the class trailer:
