The Heidel Ball event for Black Desert has yet again offered another wide swath of previews for updates coming down the pike, but just in case you weren’t awake before the sun was to watch the whole thing, there are some synopses out there to help get everyone up to speed.Play Black Desert
Some of the larger reveals were recently shared to Twitter including the new Wukong class scheduled for July 2nd and playable on PTS now, which features quick combination attacks that build up energy; and the new region of Edania arriving August 6th, which houses five new bosses and monster zones, an open PvP castle region that players can fight for control over weekly, and a PvPvE mode where the castle lord can command the castle’s monster zone.
There were a huge number of other reveals made at the event to the point it’s honestly just easier to get to the highlights in bullet point format. Don’t you just love bullet points? We sure do!
- A naval node war area otherwise known as the Blue Battlefield, which has occupation node war rules, will be coming on July 30th. Node wars on the Balenos sea will open first, followed by the Calpheon sea later.
- Another class for the game, an Awakened female warrior tentatively known as the Savior, is confirmed for sometime when Edania part two arrives.
- New gear is confirmed including a four-piece defensive set and new Sovereign sub-weapons, while Sovereign main weapons are getting additional adjustments and September brings alchemy stone enhancement changes.
- Several combat adjustments are coming that tweak accuracy and evasion calculations, remove resistances in PvP, and make class modifiers apply while in a group of at lest three; these will be available for PTS testing through July before they go live.
- An immense lineup of quality-of-life changes are coming, including a clarified enhancement UI, an expansion of the outfit storage bag, a massive 10B silver reward when new players graduate from season servers, a UI that lets players warp to events, the ability to see alt character locations and use their energy to hire workers, and plans for a new beginning area in the future.
This is only a small sampling of the actual updates planned and doesn’t include the reams of rewards like login goodies, a mentor/mentee event, and an entire month of hot time boosts. There is just so freaking much, you guys.
