Earlier this week the Viking-themed survivalbox and colony sim ASKA was looking back at its year’s worth of early access updates, but now it’s time for us all to look forward as the newest patch brings what every gamer wants: the ability to milk bunnysheep.
That’s right, players can now engage in smolkr farming with the newly buildable smolkr pen, which will produce leather scraps, meat, and… uh, smilk to use in colony crafting. This surely nutritious drink can be used by the other new building, the cheesemaker, to produce a new delicacy in the form of cheese. It’s called cheese and not shmeeze, mercifully.
Another major feature is an overhaul for the happiness system of the game, with additional management wrinkles like tiers that are based on colonist proficiency and now govern food needs as well as a desirability mechanic for placed houses that can affect overall village happiness. Doesn’t that just sound like fun.
Other features of the update include the ability to prioritize prey for hunters, some new armor sets, a host of UI improvements, and another series of optimizations and bug fixes. So nibble your cheese, drink your smilk, and smile as you read up the patch notes or watch the video summary below.
