Hearthstone is setting up a pet adoption agency in its game — but it may cost you more than you’d like.
Play Hearthstone for freeThe digital trading card game announced that it’s adding its very first interactive cosmetic pet to the game named King Krush. This little dino will sit on the corner of your board and cheer you on, reacting to major developments in the game and mimicking your hero emotes.
However, as PC Gamer and others have noted, the only way to get Hearthstone’s first pet is via a gacha pull mechanic in the Darkmoon Faire from July 8th through the 29th. The first pull is $2 to do with a 0.1% chance of winning King Krush, but the cost of pulls goes up as you go. Sure, Blizzard said that you’ll be guaranteed him by the 10th pull, but that will cost you a total of $158.
Is that worth it for the soon-to-be one-and-only pet? That’s up to you to decide, but we can help: No, it’s not. And Blizzard at least is already is getting some pushback over it.
